1989 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur Factory 42” Stretch Limousine
This car is a factory stretch, and not an aftermarket car. Beginning in 1982, customers could order a Silver Spur with a 36 inch stretch that featured up to six doors. The request for even more room and better amenities resulted in the 42 inch factory stretch for 1985, a model that would only be available until 1989. A total of only 59 cars were made in LHD between 1985 and 1989. These lavish vehicles featured an electric division window, rear entertainment system, an intercom system for driver-passenger communication, curtains to rear doors, rear door wood panels, and a rear moon roof. With such limited production and nearly $250,000 price tag, these Silver Spur limousines are some of the most coveted Rolls-Royces ever constructed and are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts today.
This rare 1988 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur Factory Limousine featured here is finished in dark blue with a beautiful blue Connolly Vaumol interior with grey piping. This car shows 72,100 miles, but the general condition would suggest perhaps a third of that mileage. The interior has no rips or other defects and is wonderfully original. The wood is in beautiful condition. The paint needs nothing. And the car has been tuned after storage of several years and runs and stops like it was new. It can be used immediately without further cosmetic or mechanical work.
